Go on an adventure in a 90s retro world that never was. You were
once a normal, everyday teenager on the verge of adulthood. But
after a mystical experience, you developed unusual powers and
became something far greater–a protector of humanity and guardian
against evil–a Fever Knight! Fever Knights Role-Playing Game
transports you into a retro world that never was. This is a place
where the 90's vibes are still alive: from latchkey kids to Super
Nintendo gaming, to cassette players and Saturday morning cartoons,
and from urban legends to adventures in the woods. Designed for
first-time and veteran gamers, this book contains a lightweight
ruleset Powered by ZWEIHÄNDER and an adventure that
will take you across the island home of the Fever Knights.
What happened at Starfish Beach? Finneus had plans to surf every
day of summer vacation until a mysterious accident at Starfish
Beach took his arm and left him with almost no memory of exactly
what happened. Now, strange things have been occurring all around
Toro Island, and Finn and his friends are going to get to the
bottom of it! Structured like an old-school video game strategy
guide, Fever Knights unravels the mystery of the uncanny events
affecting Toro Island as Finn and his friends look for answers,
making allies, and fighting enemies, using their skills, teamwork,
and strange new powers to figure out what happened at Starfish
Beach and what they can do to save their home. With Adam Ellis's
vibrant comic illustrations, witty humor, richly detailed world
building, and a fantastical cast of characters, Fever Knights is
the best game you've never played.
Thug Criminology combines the urgent and as yet silenced voices of
former gang/street-involved peoples turned academics, alongside
their allies, in order to challenge and disrupt mainstream and
academic knowledge about urban youth gangs specifically, and the
"streets" more broadly. The book questions how the "streets" –
and the racialized and marginalized urban communities who inhabit
them – are researched, taught, and subsequently politicized. It
looks at who gets to produce such knowledge, who benefits from such
knowledge, and whose voices are privileged within dominant academic
and public policy discourses. Drawing on decolonizing
methodologies, the book seeks to give voice to scholars with lived
experience of a "street" or gang life. Adam Ellis, Olga Marques,
and Anthony Gunter reclaim the terms thug and gang to reconstruct
the narrative around street-involved youth – seeing them not as
criminals but rather as survivors of historical oppression and
trauma. Challenging the colonial structure of criminology and other
disciplines that focus on street crime, Thug Criminology aims to
disrupt and disentangle the knowledge that has been produced on
gangs and urban violence.

A Survey Of Archaeological Evidences In Their Bearing On The
Integrity Of The Historical Narratives Of The Bible.
Adam Ellis knew it was time to leave art school when a fellow
student presented her final project to the class: "I put a condom
on the Virgin Mary," she announced, unveiling a cheap figurine
sheathed in latex. The professor loved it.
Baffled by the praise his classmate receives, and intent on
becoming an artist on his own terms, Adam plots his escape to
Portland, Oregon to begin his life in the real world--only to
realize that adulthood is a lot harder than it looks.
Based on the blog of the same name, BOOKS OF ADAM details Adam's
hilarious trials and tribulations in his attempt to become a
functioning member of society. From his arrest after shoplifting a
bottle of chocolate milk to a misguided attempt to make friends
that lands him in a shack with a hippie couple who have just
skinned a rabbit and are trying to entice him into a three-some,
Adam is an amicable guy who can't seem to keep himself out of
trouble.
Paired with his signature black and white illustrations, Adam's
stories weave together an uproariously funny and ultimately
charming narrative about a young man trying to find his place in
the world.
